Julian-Why-Play-Just-One-Thing-When-You-Could-Play-Four-Burdock brings his exuberant energy to The Magnificent Singer Podcast.
Balancing vocals, guitar, harmonica, live loops and samples, Julian is, quite literally, a one man band. But this is no crooner sitting quietly in the corner; this is a performer who likes to be centre stage creating all the action. Enthusiasm rarely diminished, his solo performances are described as a mix of “good ole boot thumping” blues and soul, swamp, gypsy jazz and electronica. In these days of separation, we can’t wait to hear more.
Singer-composer, lyricist, guitarist, harmonica player Julian Burdock has written, performed and recorded with Beverley Knight, Jocelyn Brown, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), SEAL, Kim Weston, Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley (James Brown), JJ Milteau and Geno Washington. His blues band 24 PESOS perform widely in China, Japan, Russia, Canada and the USA, have released four critically acclaimed albums, and have been nominated ten times at the British Blues Awards.
